History of Hollyfield Manor
Hollyfield Manor is a historic eighteenth-century home overlooking a serene pond and lush farmland in King William County. The beautiful home has endured through nearly 300 years of American history and was once owned by the Honorable Burwell Bassett, an intimate friend and brother-in-law to President George Washington.
The Manor overlooks an expansive view of Hollyfield Pond, a 28 acre lake. The property showcases a massive red equestrian barn, a thousand acres of well manicured farm lands, spectacular views of the sunset and soon to include our new elegantly appointed reception facility. This venue offers a plantation, waterfront, barn and ballroom options for your special event.
Today the home is being thoughtfully restored for weddings and events by Jessica Coffee and Sarah Barham. Let us host your celebration at historic Hollyfield Manor!
About Sarah Barham and Jessica Coffee
Sarah Barham (Owner) became a caterer before she even realized it. She started to receive calls for assistance with fundraisers for her kids' school, and then for dinner parties and other events.
As time went on, business began to grow right before her eyes and ten years ago her daughter, Jessica Coffee, began to consider catering as a serious career interest. Sarah and Jessica decided to be partners. They named the business “Traditions.” Traditions takes the traditional southern way of cooking and combines it with years of experience and hospitality.
After catering hundreds of weddings over the years and watching their business continuously grow they have now decided to tackle this newest endeavor of renovating and opening Hollyfield Manor. It has always been a dream and once this one of a kind property was found it was simply a matter of taking the plunge and following that dream. Excitement is an understatement, and we are here to help you plan and celebrate your dream wedding!
